FREE ED RESOURCE GROUP
Community outreach about disordered eating has been a commitment
of mine for several years. The statistics on the number of people
who suffer from diagnosable eating disorders is staggering. More
astonishing might be the amount of people who are affected by
disordered eating patterns. Generally, most of America is constantly
thinking about weight, body image and food! Working in the field
of eating disorders for over ten years, many of the patients
who are seen in my office often report that they wish someone
had intervened earlier in their disorder (i.e. a friend, family
member, teacher, etc.)
Therefore, I'm pleased to announce the formation of the Eating
Disorder Resource Group! This no-cost Eating Disorder Resource
Group is intended to be a forum for the community to get more
support for those affected by food and body image issues. The
group will be held on the first Tuesday of each month, and co-facilitated
by Dr. Michele Lob, who has extensive experience in the field.
I hope that you will join us in the fight against this potentially
deadly illness, and find it a place where you are able to gain
adequate support and knowledge.
Best,
Dr. Lyndsay Elliott
The group will be held on a quarterly basis (the first Tuesday
of each 4th month), and co-facilitated by Dr. Michele Lob,
who has extensive experience in the field.
